Mission: Retaining, recruiting, and advancing young talent in the Mountaineer City.
Background: Generation Morgantown seeks to cultivate the community of young professionals and leaders living and/or working in Morgantown, West Virginia and the surrounding areas by facilitating opportunities for social interaction and networking and encouraging positive business development through programming and mentorship. We host monthly First Fridays providing an opportunity for young and established leaders to network, quarterly community service events that engage young leaders in bettering the community, and other activities that respond to the interest of those 25 to 45 years of age in Morgantown.
Generation Morgantown is governed by an Advisory Board consisting of ten individuals representing the following industries which exist in Morgantown: legal, banking, entrepreneurs, higher education, health care, community service, media, and development. The Advisory Board has identified the following goals: (1) Bridging the Gap, (2) Retention, (3) Mentorship, (4) Community Service, and (5) Networking
